It’s Raining Sprinkles

Friday’s make their own rhythm. Drama started back up and I never know what to expect so we just go with the flow. For breakfast I made Papa’s favorite breakfast ,spinach feta quich.  After breakfast clean up we had a very short circle time. Just our transition and morning songs and prayer. I gave Sky her spelling test and loaded everyone up and headed to Miss Sky’s creative drama class. The class this time is twice the size which I really like. Sky is not a shy person but I would like her to get the feel of speaking in front of a larger audience. We met up with old friends and made some new ones and spent the rest of the afternoon playing together in the park. We came home and had cheese and crackers for a snack and got straight to work on a very important project. Baking rainbow sprinkle sugar cookies.childrens museum 303

It took a lot of concentration (to not eat too much dough).childrens museum 304While the cookies baked we tried to catch a rainbowchildrens museum 305You can find out how to do it here http://www.kidzone.ws/science/rainbow.htm. After our cookies cooled we unleashed the flood of sprinkles.childrens museum 310I know 40 days of sprinkles would have sent us into sugar shock but boy they hit the spot today.  Next week Friday at sundown Rosh Hashanah starts so next week we will be studying about that. Hope everyone has a blessed weekend.

Fridays are kind of their own day here, too. My husband is off work on Thursdays and then getting back into the swing of things on Friday, well, Fridays just aren’t like other days are they? 😉

    Spinach feta quiche sounds AWESOME!

And, I’m totally checking out that catching a rainbow idea. Thank you for sharing the link. I know a little someone who will think that is pretty cool …

    Best Wishes, Kara
