“After The Fire Came A Gentle Wisper”

What a beautiful week we have been blessed with. It has been really hard to focus on school when the sun has been becking us all outside. So every minute we could steal away that’ s exactly where we’ve been.

Miss Sky has been practicing to be the next Evel Knievel.

Little Sis has been learning how to fly ,just in case the fairies hold try outs.We did manage to squeeze some school in and finished our main lesson on the prophet Elijah. Miss Sky retold the story by putting on a play. She of course was Elijah. Little Sis was the ravens and the woman who feed Elijah. I played King Ahab :). She made her picture and summary from the story in her MLB. http://www.flickr.com/photos/18345185@N04/4585551998/

Miss Sky practiced her spelling words with bananagrams and while jumping rope. I made a really big version of her form in the driveway with chalk and we pretended we were in a whirlwind.

She looked up this weeks vocabulary words.

cupboard

cruse

daze

desolate

flutter

lodge

parch

scarce

thine

weary

And we wrapped up the week with our baking project ,chocolate crinkle cookies.

I don’t think the parched ground has ever looked better.

Wishing everyone a happy weekend.
