You know it never seems to fail that things stop working at the most inconvenient times. Air conditioners go out on the hottest day of the year, plumbing problems happens at night or over holiday weekends, and electric problems start 5 minutes before Papa needs to leave for work. Well in our case both the plumbing and electricity teamed up at the same time. (ERR, have you seen the movie The Money Pit? Insert Tom Hank’s laugh right about now).
Yup, that one.
Well that alone could sum up the kind of week we had but as one who chooses to look on the bright side, I did manage to jot down a few highlights.
There couldn’t have been a better time for snuggles or The Berenstain Bears
And I especially love when I can be the listener instead of the storyteller.
Miss Sky put in the request for Ice Age 2, the video game and she found Discovery Channels Prehistoric documentary on Roku that we all joined in to watch and converse.
Lets see then there was Emmet Otter, researches on Jim Henson, Christmas carols, and our annual drive of Christmas light sightings.
Miss Sky tinkering around
and Little Sis’s art work.
The best sugar cookies(made twice)
and a little help from a sister.
Throw in a celebration of our anniversary and a visit to one of our most favorite historical restaurants, The Kopper Kettle.
You know looking back over our week and Papa fixing our electrical problem, leaving only the plumbing now, I guess I really don’t have much to complain about after all.
Hey maybe there is something to this looking on the bright side stuff. 🙂
Wishing everyone a great weekend!
